Hey friend,
Every now and then, I find myself out on the patio—feet up, cup in hand, and just enough peace and quiet to let my thoughts wander. Sometimes it’s deep... scary. Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes I just realize I’ve been talking to a squirrel for ten minutes and he’s still not pulling his weight around here.
People have called me “inspiring,” "amazing," but to be honest, I’m just a husband, a dad, and a guy with cerebral palsy who’s living the life I’ve been blessed with. House, wife, kid—and a wheelchair that’s seen more drama than a soap opera. I know it's coming from good place - Naturally, I say thank you. I'm just not comfortable with it - particularly on days I should have never left the house.
The real miracle? My wife has put up with me for 24 years… and she still hasn’t changed the locks.
Thoughts from the Patio is where I share whatever’s rattling around in my head. No big speeches, no glossy life lessons. Just honest moments, small reflections, and maybe a laugh or two along the way.
Glad you pulled up a chair. Stick around—it’s nice having good company out here.
